KykNET Backsberg picnic concerts

Cuddled up between Paarl and Franschhoek is Backsberg Estate Cellars, a lovely, luscious wine farm. And on that farm there is a concert….

From the 28th November and the 13th February, Backsberg is hosting picnic concerts featuring some exciting, lekker local bands such as Karen Zoid, James Stewart and aKing.

This is the ideal opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city and escape for a lazy, summer Sunday afternoon of food, wine and acoustic entertainment. So invite your family and friends, pack up your picnic baskets and blankets and head through to Backsberg to eat, drink, listen and be merry.

Hi-Tec Full Moon Hike

Take part in the Hi-Tec Full Moon Hike and enjoy the sunset over Table Mountain with stunning views of the Winelands on top of Klapmutskoppie. Walk this marked hiking trail through the Renosterveld Conservancy with friends and family.

The Vineyard Trail is 9,75km in total and starts from the Trail Centre on Delvera farm and takes you through a Renosterveld Conservancy and Yellowwood forest to the top of Klapmutskop.

Vehicles can also transport some people, especially children to the half way mark where the singletrack hiking trail starts at the Pepper Tree - this will shorten the route to under 5km in total and it takes about 30 minutes to the top from the Pepper Tree.

You can even stand a chance to win a pair of Hi-Tec hiking shoes in the lucky draw!

Dirtopia Trail Centre is open 7 days a week from 08h00 to 17h00 for permit sales to hiking trails and mountain bike trails.
